Charming Charlie – The Great Mike Hope – infused with the spirit of  Acker Bilk plays an homage to the great man. Wardy, Thorne and Bernhardt prove the adage – its not what you play but what you don’t play………. This preceded a Charleston Charlies performance at Stockport Town hall as part of the Bridgewater hall’s community outreach programme !

    I remember this song from Stranger on the shore. And it even had a young Francoise Hardy in it. It always used to make me cry. Even now, truth be told.
